An Architect Turns Everyday Objects Into real Buildings

Some artists seek inspiration in otherworldly areas, while others make the most of whatever is available to them. Felipe de Castro, a Brazilian architect, urban planner, construction technician, and art lover, transforms ordinary objects, locations, and foods into unusual architectural designs.

A face mask becomes a hospital, a microphone becomes a hotel, a sandwich becomes an oddly-shaped structure, and a stamp becomes an Apple office in his wild imagination.

The 33-year-old Rio de Janeiro-based artist has loved to draw since he was a child, and now he teaches students and professionals how to draw in perspective.
